Bernard and Bernadette Slusarz of Mountain Top will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary Friday, May 13, 2016.
They were married on May 13, 1961 in Holy Trinity Church, South Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend John Dastick officiated. Their attendants were Elizabeth (Sobeck) Murray and Nicholas Siecko.
Mrs. Slusarz is the former Bernadette Skammer, daughter of the late William and Julia Skammer.
Mr. Slusarz is the son of the late Frank and Anastasia Slusarz. He is retired from the former First Eastern Bank and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
The Slusarzes are the parents of three children: Elaine May, Swoyersville; Karen Moyer-Shapiro, Bethlehem and Paul, Fairplay, Maryland. The couple has seven grandchildren: Rachel and Michael May; Lauren and Todd Moyer; Nathan Shapiro, Paige and Colby Slusarz.
