Anna M. (Novicki) and Edward A Wasilauski, Shavertown, observed their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 1, 2016. They were married at St. Theresa’s Church, Shavertown, Oct. 1, 1966.
They are current members of Holy Family Parish in Luzerne where a mass was celebrated in their honor followed by a family dinner to commemorate the day.
Anna, a native of Kingston Township, is the daughter of the late Stella and George Novicki. Anna had a career as an x-ray technician and later was employed at Price Chopper, where she retired.
Edward, a native of Kingston, is the son of the late Julia and Anthony Wasilauski. Edward served in the United States Army. He also served his community as a police officer in Kingston for 26 years. He later was employed by Union Petroleum where he retired.
They are the proud parents of two daughters, officer Debra Wasilauski, Linden, Pennsylvania and Dr. Michele Wasilauski, Bear Creek and their son-in-law, Robert. They are blessed with two beautiful grandchildren, Taran and Elise.
