St. Nicholas-St. Mary kindergarteners learn about fire prevention

Fire Prevention Week was recently observed by the kindergarten classes at St. Nicholas-St. Mary School, Wilkes-Barre. The children, accompanied by their teachers and parent volunteers, walked to the fire station on Ross Street in Wilkes-Barre. They were greeted by Bob Fallon, captain; Dave Roberts, Robert Steininger and Frances Meehan, firefighters; and Angela Patla, paramedic. A day in the life of a firefighter was presented and the children participated in a question-and-answer session.
