HANOVER TWP. - Police Saturday arrested Shawn Stefanski of Cedar Street, Wilkes-Barre, on an outstanding warrant while investigating a report of a disturbance at Hanover Beverage on South Main Street. Stefanski was wanted on charges of simple assault, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. He was committed to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.

HANOVER TWP. – Jackelyn Oviedo, of Nanticoke, told police Saturday a man known to her stole money from her purse in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store on the Sans Souci Parkway.

PLAINS TWP. – Township police reported the following:

•The two front tires on a vehicle owned by Diana Robinson of Pittston were slashed between Friday night and Saturday morning while it was parked at Ole Tyme Charley's on South River Street.

•Joseph Price, of Skidmore Street, said Saturday the right side of his Chevrolet Trailblazer was scratched.

•A ceramic pumpkin and a real pumpkin at the Crescent Drive residence of Nadezna Salinas were damaged between Friday night and Saturday morning. The scarecrow decorations were also pulled out of her yard.

• Two tires on a Honda Ridgeline owned by Joan Stark were slashed between Thursday and Saturday while the pickup truck was parked on Mack Street.

• The windows of a Chevrolet Trailblazer owned by Michael Skatuler were smashed Friday while it was parked at the Woodlands Inn and Resort on state Route 315.
