Anna M. Zumchak to celebrate 95th birthday

Anna M. Zumchak, Benton and Naples, Fla., will celebrate her 95th birthday on Jan. 15.

Born in Plains Township in 1918, Anna is the daughter of the late John and Anna Cupka Majoros and was married to Stephen Zumchak for 42 years before his passing in 1981.

She attended Plains High School and had been employed at General Cigar Co. and Central Slipper.

A family dinner was held in her honor at the Bear Creek Inne. Celebrating with her were her three daughters and their husbands: the Rev. Ann Marie and Bob Acacio, Swoyersville; Mary Lou and Joe Langdon, Plains Township; and Judy and Sonny Womelsdorf, Benton and Naples, Fla.

Anna has eight living grandchildren, Robert Acacio Jr., Janine Acacio Leishear and Suzanne Acacio McClung; Joseph, Michael, Steven and Jeffrey Langdon; and Chester Kitchen Jr. and one deceased grandson, Stephen Acacio. She also has 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her niece and several nephews from the Philadelphia area also attended the dinner, including the Rt. Rev. Monsignor George, John and Joseph Majoros and Barbara Simmons.
