A rally in Washington D.C. and a prayer breakfast locally will highlight activities of the local pro-life organization in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the legalization of abortion-on-demand.


Charter bus reservations for the Friday, Jan. 25 March for Life are being accepted by Marie Brodowicz at 351.3890. The cost is $40 for adults and $20 for students. Buses will leave at 6:45 a.m. from the Keyser Oak Shopping Plaza in Scranton and at 6:30 a.m. from Marywood University, and will return at approximately 11:30 p.m. The rally is scheduled for noon on the Mall in Washington D.C. The annual Respect Life Prayer Breakfast will be held Feb. 9, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Center, 320 Mifflin Ave., Scranton. The cost is $20 for adults $9 for children ages 6 to 12 and no charge for children 5 and under. For more information, call 876.4087 or 347.8299.
