PHILADELPHIA — An imprisoned former state senator from Philadelphia has been hospitalized with heart problems.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Vincent Fumo has been moved from his cell in Ashland, Ky., to a nearby hospital after doctors discovered three artery blockages.
The once-powerful Democratic lawmaker has been serving a five-year sentence after being convicted in 2009 of defrauding the Senate, a neighborhood nonprofit and a seaport museum.
