STATE COLLEGE -- Penn State remained undefeated in wrestling action with a 33-9 win over No. 13 Nebraska at Rec Hall on Sunday.

The No. 1 Nittany Lions (8-0, 5-0) won eight of 10 bouts with bonus points coming from David Taylor at 165, Ed Ruth at 184 and Quentin Wright at 197.

Taylor used 13 nearfall points to win by technical fall 16-1 over Tyler Koehn while Ruth notched four takedowns and eight nearfall points to tech No. 8 Josh Ihnen. Wright used four takedowns to major Caleb Kolb.

Penn State also got wins from Jordan Conaway at 133, Bryan Pearsall at 141, Dylan Alton at 149 and Jon Gingrich at 285. The Cornhuskers (9-4, 3-3) forfeited 125 to Nico Megaludis.

Women's basketball No. 8 Penn St. 71, Ohio St. 56

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Maggie Lucas scored 14 of her 18 points in the second half and No. 8 Penn State saved its best for last in beating Ohio State 71-56 on Sunday, the Nittany Lions' 14th consecutive Big Ten win to set a school record.

The victory, in which they outscored the Buckeyes 43-19 after halftime, also gave them their fastest start since the 1993-94 season.

Alex Bentley scored 16 points and Nikki Greene had 11 points and 13 rebounds for Penn State (17-2, 7-0 Big Ten), which has won 11 in a row since a 67-52 loss at Connecticut on Dec. 6. It's the sixth-longest winning streak in program history.

Tayler Hill, the Big Ten's leading scorer, had 28 points for Ohio State (11-9, 1-6), which had won the last six meetings at home against Penn State dating to Feb. 27, 2005.

Ameryst Alston added 12 and Amber Stokes returned to the lineup and provided some energy after missing the last four games with a sprained knee.
