Dr. Godlove Fonjweng was born in Cameroon and has a doctorate and masterâ??s degrees in Geology from the University of Pennsylvania, following graduation from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania with a bachelorâ??s degree in Geochemistry. Dr. Fonjweng has 11 years of teaching experience, including 5 years as Assistant Professor of Earth and Environmental Science at Philadelphia University and 6 years as Adjunct Professor of
Earth and Environmental science at the University of Pennsylvania. His 15 years of administrative experience includes 5 years serving as Program Director for Philadelphia University's Environmental Science Program, 6 years as Assistant Dean for Advising at the University of Pennsylvania, a 1 year stint as Special Assistant to the Provost and Director of Academic Advising at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Fonjweng is in his 5th year at Wilkes University, having spent the first year serving as Director of the Center for Global Education and Diversity and is currently in his 4th year serving as Director of Global Education at Wilkes University where he leads the University's internationalization efforts. As a founding member of Philadelphia Global Water Initiative (PGWI), Godlove served as the organization's Vice President for International Education and continues to be a member of the organization's board of directors. PGWI is a US registered nonprofit organization that aims to assist global communities with their water and sanitation needs.
