WILKES-BARRE – Four women were arraigned Friday on prostitution-related charges in separate stings at a city residence and a hotel.

Law enforcement officers with the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigations began their sweep after 7 p.m. Thursday and ended with the final arrest just before 9:30 that night.

According to the criminal complaints:

A call was made to a phone number that was answered by a woman who provided prices of $70 for 30 minutes and $150 for one hour. Arrangements were made to meet a woman after 7 p.m. at a residence on Hazle Avenue, where Daionna Dameka Lopez, 24, opened the door and allegedly grabbed the male's crotch, saying she had condoms.

Less than an hour later, state police arrested Alisha Irene Snyder, 20, of Scott Street, Wilkes-Barre, when she arrived at a hotel on Kidder Street, Wilkes-Barre, with plans to perform sex acts for money. A series of phone calls were made prior to Snyder showing up at the hotel.

Snyder told state police after she was arrested that she was in Philadelphia earlier on Thursday and had missed calls from 17 customers, the complaints say.

State police allege Snyder was dropped off at the hotel by Tara Brooke Scott, 20, who was stopped after Snyder had called her to say she was okay.

Heather L. Campbell, 27, of Ridge Street, Hanover Township, was arrested just after 9 p.m. at Hazle Avenue and Parrish Street in Wilkes-Barre. Arrangements were made to meet Campbell at that location, where she offered to perform sex acts at her residence or at a Plains Township motel for $90, according to the complaints.

State police said in the complaints a bag that Campbell was carrying allegedly contained three heroin packets, five syringes, a glass pipe and a spoon.

Lopez was charged with prostitution and soliciting prostitution. She was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.

Snyder was charged with prostitution and promoting prostitution. She was released on $2,500 unsecured bail.

Scott was charged with promoting prostitution. She was released on $2,500 unsecured bail.

Campbell was charged with prostitution, soliciting prostitution, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on $2,500 unsecured bail.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled on March 5.
