Melissa Ann McGeer and Philip Bonczewski III, together with their families, announce their engagement and and approaching marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of William and Beverly McGeer, Forty Fort. She is the granddaughter of the late Ann and Tug McGeer and the late James and Louise Cole, all of Kingston.
The prospective groom is the son of Philip Bonczewski, Plymouth, and Renee Bonczewski, Hanover Township. He is the grandson of the late Philip and Barbara Bonczewski and the late Theodore and Evelyn Pick, all of Larksville.
Melissa Ann McGeer is a 1996 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. She attended Penn State University, Lehman, and graduated from King’s College in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. She also earned an English as a Second Language (ESL) Program Specialist certificate while attending graduate school at King’s College in 2005. She is employed with the Pocono Mountain School District as a third-grade teacher.
Philip is a 2000 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. He attended Monmouth University and Wilkes University. He is employed as a corrections officer for Luzerne County.
The couple will exchange vows on July 27, 2013, in the Dorranceton United Methodist Church, Kingston.
