TOWNSHIP MANAGERWAVERLY TOWNSHIP - LACKAWANNA COUNTY Position Overview:This position is the senior leadership position of Waverly Township, a community of approximately 1700 residents. This is a "working manager" position. In addition to this position, Waverly Township has a paid staff of 1 administrative secretary, a Publics Works Supervisor, one staff member and part time employees as required; a police chief and two full time officers, and part time officers as needed. Major accountabilities of the Township Staff are the operation of the Township in all areas of Township business, operation of the Waverly Township Sewage Treatment Plant and providing police coverage for Waverly, Glenburn and North Abington Townships. The Township Manager reports to the Waverly Township Supervisors, manages the staff on day-to-day operations of the Township, and participates in Township work activities as required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership and ability to become an effective member of this small community support staff, will be a licensed certified sewage treatment plant operator or will become certified during the first 3 years of Township employment.
