ABEL E. RIVERA, 40, of Moosic, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012, in Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. He is survived by his longtime companion, Ann Marie Cox. Born in Elizabeth, N.J., on January 7, 1972, he was a son of Euripides and Dorothy Brandon Rivera. Abel worked as a mechanic for D & S Auto Sales in Scranton. Besides being a car fanatic, he was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is also survived by his three children, Jacob, Noah and Karrine Rivera, at home; and his sister, Alicia Rodgers of Columbia.
