The board of directors of the Back Mountain Food Pantry recently held their annual meeting to review donations and client needs. The food pantry serves more than 230 households in the Back Mountain area. The pantry also provides Thanksgiving and Easter dinner baskets for registered families. More than 30 volunteers staff the food pantry, donating 40-50 hours each week. Monetary donations may be sent to the Back Mountain Food Pantry, 40 Knob Hill Road, Trucksville, PA 18708. Donations of non-perishable food may be delivered to the food pantry or the following off-site locations: Hilbert’s Tractor Store, Route 415, Dallas; Cook’s Pharmacy, Route 309, Shavertown; and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, off of Route 118, Dallas.
