(AP) Phil Forte scored 19 points to lead six double-figure scorers and No. 8 Oklahoma State cruised past Utah Valley 93-40 on Tuesday night.


The Cowboys (2-0) hit 10 of 18 from 3-point range in the first half and 14 of 33 from beyond the arc for the game. Forte, who had 22 points in a reserve role in the opener, and Marcus Smart, who had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists, combined to hit 8 of 17 from 3-point range.


After draining 4 of 7 from beyond 3-point line against Mississippi Valley State last Friday, Forte, a sophomore guard, was 4 of 8 on Tuesday.


Freshman Stevie Clark was 3 of 4 from 3-point range, finished 16 points and had six assists.


Le’Bryan Nash (11), Brian Williams (10) and Markel Brown (10) also scored in double figures for the Cowboys.


Brown and Kamari Murphy each pulled down six rebounds as Oklahoma State led 50-25 at halftime.


Keawe Enos and Hayes Garrity both had eight points for Utah Valley (2-1), which was 14 of 48 from the field, scored 15 second-half points and committed 23 turnovers.


Senior Holton Hunsaker, who entered Tuesday averaging 18 points a game, finished with two. Ben Aird and Mitch Bruneel both had six rebounds.


The Cowboys hit 6 of 8 shots to open the game, including three 3-pointers, and built a 15-2 lead just 3 minutes in.


In the season-opening win over Mississippi Valley State, the Cowboys used a 34-10 run to end the first half in a 55-point rout. On Tuesday, OSU did not take as long to warm up, outscoring the Wolverines 37-10 in the first 13 minutes.


Twelve players scored for Oklahoma State, which committed just seven turnovers.
