Abraham Lopez, 68, a resident at Manor Care, Kingston, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Commonwealth Hospice at St Luke’s Villa, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Jose Manuel and Rosa Amada Quinones Lopez. He was employed as a carpenter in the construction industry.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching football and hanging out with his friends at the Leisure Tavern.

Surviving are his children, Yvonne and Gladys Lopez, Bronx N.Y.; Carla Carter, La.; Amanda Lopez-Smith, Sweet Valley; Richard Huften, Plains Township; Abby and Angela Lopez, both of Wilkes-Barre; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Julia Pabon; and brother, Miguel Salaberrios.

A Celebration of Abraham’s Life will be held on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township. Relatives and friends may call from 4 until 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
