PLAINS TWP. — Police are investigating the cause of a July 4 car crash on East Mountain Boulevard that involved an Exeter woman and her 5-year-old daughter.

Township and state police responded to a report of an erratic driver around 9 p.m. and found a vehicle flipped over onto its roof in a wooded area along the boulevard. A 5-year-old passenger was in a booster seat but fell out and was able to exit the vehicle. The driver, Pamela M. Confletti, was assisted out of the vehicle by police. Both occupants sustained minor cuts and abrasions.

The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Confletti submitted to a blood-alcohol test, and police are awaiting results.

PLAINS TWP. — Township police reported the following pending citations in recent days:

• Stephen Zona, Plymouth, will be charged with public drunkenness and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after he was found showing signs of impairment from an unknown type of drug at Sheetz on state Route 315 around 12:30 p.m. July 5. Zona was on probation for a previous drug violation and lodged in the Luzerne County Prison.

• Heather Vest, Wilkes-Barre, will be cited with public drunkenness after police found her unresponsive and lying on the side of Jumper Road around 10 p.m. July 5.

• Michael Kostelnick, 20, of Wilkes-Barre, will be cited with public drunkenness and underage drinking after he was found face down in the area of the Twist nightclub on state Route 315 shortly before midnight July 5.

• William J. Torre, Princeton, N.J., will be cited with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he was uncooperative with police and security staff at the Mohegan Sun Casino around 1:30 a.m. July 6.

HAZLETON — Francis Lara, 30, of Hazleton, faces a string of charges for allegedly chasing two females through city streets with a handgun, police said.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. July 7 in the 500 block of West Maple Street and continued on North Locust Street. The victims were 16 and 18 years old.

Lara was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and disorderly conduct.

WILKES-BARRE — City police reported:

• A man residing in the 500 block of South River Street reported Sunday his residence had been burglarized twice in the last three weeks. A video game system was stolen in the first burglary during the last week of June when he was on vacation and money and a purse was taken during the second burglary on Sunday.

• A donation jar for Dogs of America was stolen during a burglary at Preppy Pet on North Sherman Street on Sunday. A rock was thrown through the front window to access the pet grooming business, police said.

• Police said a 70 inch Vizo television, a 55-inch Sharpe television, a 32-inch Sony television, a video game system and a desktop computer were stolen during a burglary of a house in the 400 block of North Washington Street on Sunday. Police said the residence was entered through a second floor window.

• A resident at 320 E. Northampton St. reported the theft of a rental vehicle — a maroon 2013 Nissan Altima — from her driveway Friday.
