(AP) Gianluigi Quinzi of Italy won his first Grand Slam junior boys’ title Sunday, beating unseeded Chung Hyeon of South Korea 7-5, 7-6 (2) at Wimbledon.

Chung served for the first set at 5-3, but the sixth-seeded Quinzi broke twice and served out the set.

The 17-year-old players were evenly matched in the second set, but Quinzi dominated the tiebreaker.

Last year, Quinzi reached the Wimbledon boys’ semifinals, his previous best result at a junior Grand Slam event.

Chung was playing at Wimbledon for the first time and reached his first Grand Slam final.
