(AP) Paul George scored 28 points and the Indiana Pacers powered past San Antonio 111-100 Saturday night, snapping an 11-game skid against the Spurs.


David West had 20 points and Lance Stephenson added 15. Roy Hibbert, former San Antonio guard George Hill, C.J. Watson and Luis Scola scored 12 points apiece. Hibbert and Scola also had 10 rebounds each.


Kawhi Leonard scored 18 points, Manu Ginobili added 16, Tony Parker had 13 and Tim Duncan 10 for the Spurs, who have lost three of their last five.


Indiana had lost 12 straight in San Antonio and appeared headed for a baker’s dozen early.


Ginobili’s 3-pointer with 9:46 remaining in the first half gave the Spurs a 35-22 lead. It was their largest lead, but also the start of the team’s fall as the Pacers’ starting five overwhelmed their counterparts.


Indiana closed the first half on a 30-18 run and opened the second half on a 12-2 run.


George’s 3 gave the Pacers an 85-62 lead with 46.3 seconds left in the third. George finished the game 4 for 4 on 3s and also had six assists.


Boris Diaw’s dunk with 6 minutes left pulled San Antonio within 101-80, but Stephenson drew a foul against Diaw while making layup on the following play. His ensuing free throw gave Indiana a 104-80 lead.


The three-point play led San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich to empty his bench following a timeout.


The reserves rallied the Spurs, as Patty Mills’ 3-pointer pulled San Antonio within 108-98 with 1:30 remaining, but Indiana was able to close out the victory.


NOTES: The Pacers’ last victory against the Spurs was 100-99 on April 1, 2007, in Indianapolis. Their last victory in San Antonio was 92-82 on Jan. 4, 2002. . Spurs C Tiago Splitter left the game in the first half after suffering tightness in his left calf. Splitter was questionable to play due to the calf injury, but started for San Antonio. He finished with two points, going 1 for 3, and grabbing two rebounds in eight minutes. . George was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for November, becoming the first Indiana player to earn the honor since Jermaine O’Neal in December 2003. . San Antonio had not played since a 102-100 victory over Atlanta, as its game Wednesday against Minnesota in Mexico City was postponed due to an electrical fire. . Before a free throw late in the game, a fan yelled to referee Bill Kennedy, “Did they run out of medium and large shirts?” The muscular Kennedy turned to the crowd with a bemused look and smiled.
