Thomas and Monica Brill, Drums, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on July 20, 1963, in Transfiguration Church, West Hazleton, by the Rev. Bernard Toloczko.

James Brill served as best man and Louise Yanick was the maid of honor.

Mr. Brill is the son of the late Thomas and Stella Siepietowski Brill.

He is a 1957 graduate of West Hazleton High School and holds degrees from Pennsylvania State University and the University of Scranton.

Mrs. Brill is the daughter of the late George and Helen Guydish Markovchick.

She is a 1961 graduate of Hazleton High School and Empire Beauty School.

They are the parents of two children, Tammy and her husband, Peter Crabb, and Thomas Todd Brill.

The couple renewed their wedding vows with the Most Rev. Joseph C. Bambera on June 16, 2013, at the wedding anniversary Mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral. They will also renew their vows at St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Minersville.

An anniversary celebration was enjoyed with family and friends at Leonard’s Fine Dining, Hazleton.
