(AP) Olympic champion Veronica Campbell Brown of Jamaica is serving a suspension while anti-doping officials rule on her recent positive drug test.

The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association announced Tuesday that the 2004 and 2008 Olympic champion at 200 meters is suspended while a panel reviews the case.

Campbell Brown’s manager, Claude Bryan, says the accusation “is a shock to her.” He says Campbell Brown is “not a cheat” and she is determined to clear her name. Bryan says she does not accept “guilt of willfully taking a banned substance.”

The suspension will keep Campbell Brown out of this week’s national championships in Jamaica, where Usain Bolt is scheduled to run.

Also a world champion at 100 and 200 meters, Campbell Brown is among the most decorated athletes in Jamaica’s sprinting history.
