The Wilkes-Barre Kiwanis Club recently held a luncheon with guest speakers from AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps-FEMA Corps, an organization of young adults ages 18 to 23, visiting our area to assist in the long term recovery efforts of our flooded communities and to teach disaster preparedness, response and recovery activities. The Wilkes-Barre Kiwanis Club meets every Thursday at noon at the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center, Wilkes-Barre. New members are welcome.
