Three students at Lehman-Jackson Elementary School have been selected as state grade-level winners for the Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest. Over 300,000 students across the nation participated in this annual contest and this is the first time L-J students participated.

State winners are Sophia Lenza, Grade 1, Scalzo; Gabrielle Shonis, Grade 5, Mrs. James; and Shelby Traver, Grade 6, Mrs. Johnson.

The students received an engraved medallion, an engraved glass diamond and an official letter from Zaner-Bloser stating their state accomplishment. They are now eligible to compete for a Grand National Title and a chance at $1,000.
