The Wyoming Seminary Civic Orchestra will present a program featuring the works of Mendelssohn, Britten, Smetana and Bridge on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. in the Great Hall of Wyoming Seminary, 228 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, and on Monday, Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. in the Sette LaVerghetta Auditorium at Marywood University, Scranton.

Music Director Rick Hoffenberg will lead the musicians in a performance of Britten’s Four Sea Interludes, the Hebrides Overture by Mendelssohn, “The Moldau” by Smetana and “The Sea” by Bridge. The concerts are free and open to the public. For more information call (570) 270-2192.

The Wyoming Seminary Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band will present its annual Winter Concert on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Wyoming Seminary’s Buckingham Performing Arts Center, Sprague Avenue, Kingston. The Wind Ensemble will present music by Sousa and Buckley and a medley of holiday songs, while the Jazz Band will perform classic and contemporary jazz works. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Wyoming Seminary Fine and Performing Arts Department will present its annual Winter Instrumental Concert, featuring the Sem Orchestra, String Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and Handbell Choir on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Great Hall of Wyoming Seminary. The program will feature music by Beethoven, Gliere, Bizet, Haydn, Wiren and other classical and contemporary composers, and is free and open to the public.
