Jacksons celebrate 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jackson, of West Wyoming, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct.26. They were married at Sacred Heart Church in Plains.

Mrs. Jackson is the former Mary Murphy, daughter of the late William and Marie Murphy. Before her retirement, she worked at Acme Markets and Burger King in Wyoming.

Mr. Jackson is the son of the late James and Bertha Jackson. Before his retirement, he worked at the Wyoming Area School District.

The couple has eight children, Charlotte Kenzakoski, Kingston; Jimmy Jackson and his wife Sandy, Pittston; Joanie Goulstone, West Wyoming; Ann Marie Rosengrant, West Wyoming; Linda Flanagan and her husband Mike, Laflin; Christine Mathers and her husband Steve, Trucksville; Trish Jackson, West Wyoming; and Chas Jackson and his wife Carrie, Wyoming.

They also have 13 grandchildren, Charlie, Mark, and Joey Kenzakoski, Tyler Jackson, Ashley and Alyssa Goulstone, Amarah Scott, Erin and Kelley Flanagan, Nick and Matt Mathers, Emily and Sarah Jackson.

The couple celebrated the occasion by renewing their wedding vows at Our Lady of Sorrows Church of St. Monica’s Parish and a dinner held in their honor.
