The Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley presents “Flights of Imagination,” an exhibition of ceramic sculptures by the artist William Tersteeg, through Dec. 2. Flights of Imagination showcases fourteen hanging and freestanding works that date from the 1980s to 2012. On display in the Museum’s Payne Hurd Gallery the visitor will discover a variety of forms, glazing techniques, and use of non-clay materials, which confirms the connection for the artist between the natural world and the studio: clay, wood, copper, and found objects are combined with Plexiglas, porcelain, and mirror. Each work includes a surprise element, such as images inside or on the bottom of pieces, which creates different spatial perspectives within a single sculpture. Info: allentownartmuseum.org.

“Natura Sensus” Exhibition by Karl Neuroth, continuing through Dec. 4, at Laura Craig Galleries, 307 Linden St, Scranton. Focused on the intrinsic character of the subject at hand, the smaller works that comprise this exhibit are a gentle compliment to Neuroth’s larger configurations with their signature display of jubilant color and content.

The Glenburn Township Eighth Annual Art Show and Sale, through Dec. 13 at the Glenburn Township Building, 54 Waterford Road, Dalton.
