Joann E. Brogna, R.N., died December 27, 2008 in Wesley Village, where she was a resident for the past year. She and her husband Victor had been married for 51 years.
Born in Exeter, a daughter of the late David and Nellie Corsini Meckalavage, she was a graduate of Pittston High School and later received her R.N. degree in Nursing from the Nesbit School of Nursing. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church Exeter and their Alter and Rosary society. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Nesbit Hospital for 42 years.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond.
She is survived by her sons, Michael of Downingtown, and Gary of Exton; grandchildren, Zachary and Tyler of Downingtown, and Mary and Emily of Exton; sister, Theresa Musto of Fort Myers, FL; and brother, Leonard of Orlando, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral was Dec. 29 from the Adonizio Funeral Home, with Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist, Exeter. Interment, Parish Cemetery.
