Scouts hiked over 85 miles and camped at altitudes above 11,000 feet, battling temperatures that ranged from upper 80s and lower 30s, heavy rain and lightning storms while carrying 50-pound packs.

Boy Scouts participated in events and activities, including rock climbing, repelling, black powder shooting, panning for gold and spar pole climbing.

The crew had been planning this trip for over two years and spent four weekends backpacking trails in northeastern and central Pennsylvania to prepare for the trek.
