Charles Edward Smith Sr., 42, of Plymouth, died December 15, 2008, surrounded by family after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born Charles Edward Sprouse in Gallipolis, Ohio, on Jan. 19, 1966, to parents Willard and the late Kathryn Sprouse. He was lovingly adopted as an infant and raised by Gabriel and the late Agnes Smith. He attended school in Jackson, OH.
He was also receded in death by a sister Debbie Sprouse and a brother, Raymond Miller.
Surviving are his wife, Ronda Whitley Smith, Plymouth; son Charles Smith Jr. Thurman, OH; daughter Brandi Smith, Jackson, OH; son Charles Lynch, Plymouth; father Gabriel Smith, Plymouth; father and step-mother Willard and Wanda Sprouse, Jackson, OH; brothers Timothy Linton, Paul Linton, Terry Linton and Willard Sprouse Jr., all of Jackson, OH; Marshal Sprouse, Columbus, OH; sisters Maryann Bradley, Columbus, OH; Stella Woods, Jackson, OH; mother-in-law and father-in-law Joyce and Ronald Whitley, Hanover Twp.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Loretta and Henry Bilder, West Pittston; nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service was held Dec. 20 at the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, West Pittston. Interment at the convenience of the family. To leave an online condolence, visit .
