Plains American Legion baseball teams will hold a registration today, Sunday, April 20, at the Plains American Legion home on East Carey Street in Plains from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Players residing in Plains, Laflin, Bear Creek, Parsons, Miners Mills, North End, East End, Avoca, Dupont, Jenkins Twp. and Pittston Twp. east of the Pittston by-pass can register for Plains.
Players born on or after January 1, 1989 are eligible to sign-up for the American Legion baseball program. Plains American Legion baseball sponsors a 13 year old developmental team, a junior legion team and a senior legion team.
Try-outs will be held at the Hilldale Baseball Field, Saturday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m. for 13 year olds and junior legion players and at 5:00 p.m. for senior legion players. Try-outs will also be held Sunday, May 4 as well as Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11. Players must attend at least 3 try-out sessions. For more information contact Jack at 947-7246.
