The following items were reported by area police departments:
* Joseph Riley, 46, of Clarks Green, was charged with disorderly conduct and unsafe lane change on December 10, 2007 at approximately 5:30 p.m. Officers witnessed a verbal altercation in the middle of the roadway on Rt. 6 and 11 near Maple Ave. in which Riley became upset with another motorist and was behaving in a disorderly manner. Riley apparently made an unsafe lane change and an argument occurred between the two motorists.
* Jill Paterson Connell, 51, of Clarks Green, is charged with retail theft for an incident that occurred on December 14, 2007 at approximately 1 p.m. Connell was observed by a shop owner on South State Street putting items into a plastic bag in her possession however when she went to the register she failed to pay for them as she paid for other items.
* Officers charged Shannon P. Thomas, 19 of Newton Township, with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. After officers stopped the vehicle Thomas was a passenger in on November 24 at 1:50 a.m., they discovered she was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
* Officers charged Ender F. Herrera- Gutierrez, 34, of Tunkhannock, with disorderly conduct and harassment, after he allegedly assaulted another person at a South Abington Township business on December 12 at 9:10 p.m.
* On December 20 at 3:40 p.m., officers were called to a Clarks Green Pharmacy for a male that was attempting to pick up a prescription that was called in with a fraudulent prescription. The male was identified as Thomas J. Norton, 42, of Scott Township, and was charged with criminal attempt to pass a forged or fraudulent prescription and criminal use of a communication facility. Norton was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Murphy and released on $20,000 unsecured bail.
* Officers charged Thomas A. Scanlon, 53, of Ransom Township with driving while under the influence of alcohol. While investigation an automobile accident on Nov. 16 at 9:25 p.m., officers discovered that Scanlon was driving one of the vehicles and that he was intoxicated. His blood alcohol concentration was .247 percent.
