Nancy S. Gorko, Tunkhannock, died Saturday, June 30, at Tyler Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Albert W. Purdy, who died in 1970 and Eugene J. Gorko who died in 2003.
Born in Glendale, she was the daughter of the late Judson and Sarah Olive Siptroth Ross. She had lived in the Tunkhannock area since 1973. Prior to retirement she was employed with Endicott Johnson Shoes and Penthouse Meat Packing Co. She was a member of the Lake Winola United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Albert M. Purdy, Larksville and Roger D. Purdy, Dalton; a daughter Stephanie Hallock, Tunkhannock; a brother, Robert Ross, Glendale; four sisters, Jean Ross, Glendale; Doris Rought, Mill City; Emma Franco, Scranton and Mildred Drake, Scranton; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers: Ashbel. William, Alfred, Judson, Daniel, Stephen and Charles Ross; two sisters, Ida Tinsley and Shirley Syrylo.
A funeral was held at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Glendale.
