of the National Wild Turkey Federation will hold its annual hunting heritage banquet/auction Saturday, March 2, at The Appletree Terrace at Newberry Estates in Dallas. Doors open at 5 p.m. with raffles and open bar for soda and beer; cash bar for mixed drinks. There will be raffles such as the sportsman’s raffle, ladies table and JAKES. Also there will be a silent auction and a live auction. The cost for the banquet is $60 for a single ticket and $85 for a couple, which includes a one-year membership and meal. There is also a sponsor ticket price and an early bird special. Through the National Wild Turkey Federation, there has been an increase in the wild turkey populations, food plots and cover provided, scholarship programs and the Turkey Hunters Care Program.
