BETHLEHEM – Wyoming Seminary completed its wrestling season on Saturday crowing two national champions and finishing second at the National Prep Championships at Stabler Arena.
The Blue Knights scored 236 points, but finished a distant second to Blair Academy’s 324.5.
Nicky Hall, a 170-pounder and 180-pounder Eric Morris each won gold medals for the Blue Knights, who had five finalists. Judson Preskitt (126), Garrett Ryan (220) and Michael Johnson (285) all finished as runner-up.
Seminary ended the tournament with 10 wrestlers taking home a medal. Will Crisco (120) and Ty White (145) each grabbed a bronze, while Danny Boychuck (113) and Chris Weiler (160) placed fifth and Matt Doggett took sixth at 195.
The King’s College men’s lacrosse team got four points from junior Mike O’Brien to defeat visiting Neumann in the Monarchs season opener.
Kieran McMahon scored two goals while Pat Bonnot, Max Malloy, and Kevin Sweeney each scored one.
Andrew Nelson had a pair of top-three finishes to lead the Misericordia University men’s track & field team at the MAC Indoor Championships, Saturday at Lehigh.
Led by MAC Rookie of the Year Hilari Norris, the Misericordia University women’s track & field team finished second at the MAC Indoor Championships.
Norris won the 60m hurdles as the Cougars compiled 104 points to finish second among 10 teams.
Ashlee Ward added a first place finish in the high jump while the 3,200 relay team of Bianca Bolton, Kelsey Cameron, Alexa Yoder and Marina Orrson won, as well as the 800 team of Amy Viti, Bridget Comiskey, Dunn and Steph Grow.
