Coach’s Outlook: “We’re a veteran team. I have high expectations this year. The big thing here is trying to play with heart. We have a great team, but sometimes we lack motivation. Hopefully we can hit our stride early and take it from there.”

Coach’s Outlook: “Our goal is to make playoffs. Last year we missed playoffs by two games, but we had the league MVP in Nick Banos. Losing him is a big deal and it’s not easy to replace someone like him.”

Coach’s Outlook: “This season we have a young, athletic team looking to make the run back to the playoffs like last year.”
Hanover Area Hawkeyes
Coach: William Kane

Coach’s Outlook: “We had one win last year. We’re looking to build and be better. The challenges that faces this team is that some of the bigger teams are dropping so some of these teams are more competitive. We’re just looking to be competitive this year.”
Hazleton Area Cougars
Coach: Greg Cechak
2013 Record: 5-7
Home Court: Hazleton Area High School
Key Returners: Brett Barron and Alex Gregoire.
Coach’s Outlook: “Our team is made up of a lot of first year players so we are in the process of creating a unified vision. Having Brett and Alex anchor our team will allow us to be competitive in every match this season. Our main goals are to improve each match and always stay positive. I know that we have a bunch of hard working young men that have a lot of potential. If we practice and implement the little things, I believe we have a chance to create something special.”
Holy Redeemer Royals
Coach: Jack Kablick
2013 Record: 11-1 (State Semi-finals)
Home Court: Holy Redeemer High School

Coach’s Outlook: “I’m expecting us to try and replace our three front row players … that’s the task this year. We have five people with a lot of experience from a final four team. That’s the bottom line here.”

Coach’s Outlook: “This year’s a big rebuilding. It’s my first year, I played for Lehman when I was in High School between 2004 to 2007. It’s changed a lot since then and we’re in a building mode. We graduated a lot of seniors last season so we’re trying to recruit and we’re depending on a lot of younger players, but we have a lot of good things going for us and I’m really excited.”

Coach’s Outlook: “We’re gonna be stressing defense, and basically my philosophy is always one practice and game at a time. Long term is to make playoffs, but we’re a lot more experience than last year, I have a lot of returning people and I have a reliable bench.”
