WILKES-BARRE — Colleen Horn Doyle, legal counsel for McCarthy Tire Service, has been named to the prestigious “2017 Pennsylvania Rising Stars” list by Super Lawyers, a national rating service of outstanding lawyers.

The “Rising Stars” list recognizes top up-and-coming attorneys who are 40 or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. Doyle competed in a rigorous selection process based on peer recognition and professional achievement while she was with the law firm of Rosenn Jenkins & Greenwald in Wilkes-Barre. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in each state are selected to receive the annual honor, a press release says.

“The McCarthy family is very proud of Colleen for this recognition,” said John D. McCarthy Jr., president of McCarthy Tire. “She is huge asset to McCarthy Tire. We relied on her expertise during our recent acquisitions of Sandone Tire and PJ Dooling Tire Company.”

Doyle, a fourth-generation McCarthy, joined the family firm in January 2017. She is the daughter of Mary Ellen McCarthy Horn, one of the three company owners, and Neil Horn, company vice president.

Prior to McCarthy Tire, Doyle focused her practice in commercial litigation with Rosenn Jenkins & Greenwald. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law.

Doyle sits on the board of directors for both the Children’s Service Center in Wilkes-Barre and the Wyoming Valley Habitat for Humanity in Kingston. She is a member of the Luzerne County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
