WILKES-BARRE — The site of a former franchise restaurant on Kidder Street will be transformed into the Valley Diner.

A sign outside the vacant Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon is advertising the new business, saying it will be “coming soon.” Lone Star closed in January 2015. BV Belk Properties of Charlotte, N.C., has advertised the property as a freestanding and fully equipped restaurant.

A Wilkes-Barre-issued building permit attached to a window at the property lists the owner as Bascom Harris PA LLC of Charlotte.

The Valley Diner will fill the former site of Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon on Kidder Street in Wilkes-Barre.
