KINGSTON – High school students interested in joining a production of ‘Fame the Musical’ during this summer’s Performing Arts Institute (PAI) at Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School are invited to register for the PAI Musical Theater Scholarship Competition to be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2, in Sem’s Kirby Center for Creative Arts.

There will be six-finalists competing for three PAI musical theater scholarships to attend the 2017 PAI Musical Theater Program: full tuition, $1,000 and $500.

This years performance will take place Aug. 4-5. Students in grades 7-12 will work for six-weeks in June and July to prepare.

Students should visit www.wyomingseminary.org/pai to review the requirements, complete the online registration form and follow instructions to submit an audition (DVD or YouTube) video.

Contestants should prepare a one-to two-minute excerpt from a Broadway musical song and a one-minute monologue from an American copyrighted play or musical theater production.

Registration will close at 4 p.m. March 13 with DVD auditions requiring a postmark no later than March 8.
