NANTICOKE – The Greater Nanticoke Area School District is conducting kindergarten registration for the 2017-2018 school term 9-11 a.m. and 12:30-2 p.m. April 4, 5 and 6 at the K.M. Smith Elementary School, in Sheatown.

Children must accompany their parent or guardian to the registration for the screening process.

In order to be eligible for kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school term, a child must be five- years- old on or before Sept. 1, 2017.

Required documents at the registration include each child’s birth certificate, two proofs of residency, current health and immunization records, copies of custody or foster care legal documents, and if applicable, the Access card. In addition to the proof of residency, the parent/guardian must provide a photo ID.

Registration for new first-grade students will also be accepted at this time. Applicable first-graders must be six-years-of-age on or before Sept. 1, 2017. Parents must provide the same required information listed above.

Registration packets will be available 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the principal’s office at K.M. Smith School. Required paperwork can be copied when picking up packet.
