HARVEYS LAKE: The Harveys Lake Environmental Advisory Council is organizing their annual community-wide spring clean-up for 1 p.m. April 23. In celebration of Earth Week join in this local effort to pick up litter around the lake.

In order to provide materials and assign routes for all volunteers, registration is required.

PLYMOUTH: The Plymouth Historical Society, 115 Gaylord Ave., will hold an Open House Program at 2 p.m., May 7.

Come celebrate the 31st anniversary of the historical society with this free event that will include refreshments and an ice cream social.

Local musician, Don Shappell, will perform patriotic songs and more. Plenty of free parking is available a short distance away at the WVW High School parking lots on Wadhams St.

This 140-year-old building is not handicap accessible.

WILKES-BARRE: Leadership Wilkes-Barre Super Cyclers project group, CSC SuperCylers, is providing the Children’s Service Center, in Wilkes-Barre and Nanticoke, with bike sheds, bicycles for the children, helmets, bike racks, outdoor equipment and a gift for the kids at 10 a.m., April 29, at the Children’s Service Center, Wilkes-Barre.

There will be a community safety bike ride and a bike safety presentation, hosted by Wilkes-Barre City Police Department. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
