WILKES-BARRE TWP. — A Scranton man and three men from Bronx, N.Y., were arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop on the Interstate 81 on-ramp near Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday.

The Wilkes-Barre Township Special Investigations Unit and Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on the on-ramp at Exit 168 and, through subsequent investigation, it was discovered that two of the occupants had active warrants for their arrest, police said.

Officers also allegedly discovered a small amount of marijuana, 440 bags of prepackaged heroin, 2 grams of loose heroin, two scales, multiple cell phones, equipment for mixing and packaging heroin as well as $2,155 in cash and other items, police said.

Fernando Disla, Christopher Mota, and Santiago Tejada, all of Bronx, and Randy Lee Cohen, of Scranton, each were charged with two felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; and one misdemeanor count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All four men were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Michael Dotzel and, unable to post $150,000 each, were jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility to await preliminary hearings scheduled for 1 p.m. on June 7.
