Lawrence and Donna Gorgol, of Kingston, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Loren, to Michael Butry, son of Michael Butry, of Bear Creek and Cheryl Butry, of Wilkes-Barre.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Jean Syroid, Kingston and the late Charles Syroid and the late Lawrence & Ann Gorgol, of Kingston.

Loren is a 2001 graduate of Bishop O’Reilly High School. She is a 2005 graduate of King’s College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in neuroscience. She is also a 2012 graduate of Drexel University where she earned a Master of Science degree in clinical research organization and management. She is currently employed by the Geisinger Genomics Medicine Institute as a research project manager.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Stephen and Margaret Mirowski, Plains and the late Michael and Mary Lou Butry, of Wilkes-Barre

Michael is a 1998 graduate of Coughlin High School. He is a 2013 graduate of Misericordia University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He is currently employed as a screen printer at AxelRad Screen-printing.

Loren and Michael look forward to celebrating their marriage with family and friends on June 17, 2017 at The Woodlands Inn, Wilkes-Barre.
