Angel Dorothy Evarts and Richard James Gilbert, together with their parents, announce their engagement and future marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ginger Evarts and Thomas Deretchin, of Plymouth. She is the granddaughter of Raymond Evarts Sr. and the late MaryAnn Evarts, West Nanticoke and Mary Deretchin and the late Carlyle Deretchin, New Jersey.
The prospective groom is the son of Florence Wallace, Dallas. He is the grandson of the late James Gilbert and the late Florence Free Gilbert, New Jersey.
The bride-to-be is a 2010 graduate of Greater Nanticoke Area and Wilkes Barre Vocational Technical School. She is the mother of a daughter, Saraya Souder and is expecting twins. She is employed by the Dallas Meadows Personal Care Home a and a Times Leader paper carrier.
The prospective groom is a graduate of West Side Technical School and is a father to a daughter, Tifianie Gilbert and also expecting twins.
A July wedding at Coal City Tavern in Luzerne is planned with a reception to follow.
