Mehgan Susek and John Tolli, together with their families, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James Susek, Plains Township. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Susek, Miners Mills and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burcha, Wilkes-Barre Township.

The prospective groom is the son of Dr. John Tolli and the late Joanne Tolli of Westchester County, New York. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carmine Tolli and the late Mr. and Mrs. Guido Manzo, both from Yonkers, New York.

Mehgan is a 2004 graduate of Coughlin High School and a 2008 graduate of King’s College with a bachelors degree in biology.

John graduated from Somers High School and thereafter went on to earn his bachelors degree in biology from SUNY Albany in 2007.

Mehgan and John met at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. Both earned their doctorate degrees in 2012. Together, they completed a three-year surgical residency at Geisinger Community Medical Center, in Scranton.

Mehgan is currently practicing at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, with John scheduled to join the Geisinger Health System later this fall.

The couple will exchange vows on Aug. 6, 2016 at Saint Peter’s Chapel, Poughkeepsie, New York with a reception to follow on the Hudson River at The Grandview.
