Michelle Gitkos and Michael Witek, together with their families, are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary Gitkos and the late Joseph Gitkos, West Pittston. She is the granddaughter of the late Kathryn Gitkos, Pittston and the late Mary Vasil, West Pittston.
The prospective groom is the son of Stanley and Cindy Witek, Plains. He is the grandson of Jean Lancaster, Peckville and the late Margaret Witek, Plains.
Miss Gitkos is a 2011 graduate of Wyoming Area High School and received her degree in dental hygiene from Luzerne County Community College in 2016. She is currently a waitress at Fox Hill Country Club and is pursuing a career in her field as a dental hygienist.
Mr. Witek is a 2008 graduate of Coughlin High School and received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Wilkes University in 2014. He is currently employed by CVS Health.
The couple will be married on Sept. 3, 2016 in Exeter.
