Rachel Hasay and Wayne Lauer, together with their families, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of George and Nancy Hasay, of Shickshinny. She is the granddaughter of the late John and Ann Hasay, Shickshinny, and the late William and Lois Cortright, Shickshinny.

The groom-to-be is the son of Truman and late Patricia Drabot, of Berwick. He is the grandson of the late John and Madeline Drabot, Shickshinny.

Rachel is a 2005 graduate of Northwest Area High School and graduated from Misericordia University earning her bachelor’s degree in education, as well as teaching certifications in elementary education, special education and secondary English. She is employed as the transition coordinator at SusQ-Cyber Charter School, in Bloomsburg.

Wayne is a 1997 graduate of Berwick Area High School. He is employed by K-Fabrication Incorporated, in Berwick.

The couple is planning a June wedding in Maine.
