Giuliana Magnasco and Brian Gabriel, together with their families, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Louis and Lorene Magnasco, of Stockton, California. She is the granddaughter of Milena and the late Andrew Magnasco, Stockton, California; and the late Arturo and Giulia Prato, Stockton, California.

Giuliana is a 2010 graduate of Saint Mary’s High School, Stockton, California. She earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in psychology from California Polytechnic State University in 2014 and a juris doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2017.

She will join the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Irvine, California, this fall as a civil litigation associate.

The prospective groom is the son of David and Ana Gabriel, of Forty Fort. He is the grandson of the late Joseph and Irene Gabriel, Plymouth; and Maria Pires, of Bridgeport, Connecticut; and the late Joao Pires, Portugal.

Brian is a 2006 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. He is a Marine Corps veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Temple University in 2013 and a juris doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2017.

He will join the law firm of Wood Smith Henning & Berman LLP, in Los Angeles, California, this fall as a civil litigation associate.

The couple will exchange vows Aug. 12, 2017, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church, Santa Monica, California, followed by a reception at the Woodland Hills Country Club, Woodland Hills, California.
