NEW YORK — Scranton native Stephen Karam’s play “The Humans” will make the jump from its off-Broadway home at Roundabout Theatre to Broadway’s Helen Hayes Theatre starting Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016.

Karam’s previous credits include the 2012 Pulitzer Prize finalist “Sons of the Prophet,” as well as a film adaptation of Chekov’s “The Seagull.”

According to Karam’s website, “The Humans” revolves around the character Erik Blake, who brings his Pennsylvania family to his daughter’s new apartment to celebrate Thanksgiving. When strange things begin happening around them, the raw truths of the Blake family are exposed.
