PITTSTON TWP. — The Northeast Fair returns to the fair grounds at 20 Freeport Rd. in the Grimes Industrial Park June 21 to 26.

This year’s events includes a wealth of entertainment, contests and food.

The Northeast Fair features more than 1,500 contests in categories such as baking, floral exhibits and horticulture, arts, wine and beer, home produced foods, vegetables and fruits, battle of the bands, categories for youth and a “beautiful baby contest.”

Motor sports competitions include championship double figure eight auto racing, compact car demolition full-sized demolition derby and a 4 x 4 competition with stock, modified and pro trucks. For little drivers, a Power Wheels derby is held.

Provided by Reithoffer Shows, more than 25 rides including kiddie rides and thrill rides. Aerial performers, Circus Stella, is featured and educational segments include Moo Mania, Butterfly Encounter and Tin Smithing Heritage.

More than 40 vendors provide a tasty array of festival fare.

Entertainment headliners include Pittston’s own Shawn Klush taking stage with his widely recognized tribute to Elvis Presley and multifaceted rock tribute Pink Talking Fish.

Fair admission is $10, and includes unlimited rides and all shows and exhibits. With a Saturday and Sunday coupon, admission is $7 between 1 and 4 p.m.

Fair grounds open at 5 p.m. Tuesday June 21 through Friday June 24 and at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday June 25 and 26.
