EXETER: The Cosmopolitan Senior Citizens Club will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, St. Anthony’s Center.

FALLS: The Falls Active Adult Center, SR 92, Exeter Township, is holding a flea market sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Staff from Rep. Karen Boback’s office will be at the center Wednesday, June 15 to assist with state related issues.

A special Father’s Day lunch will be served Friday, June 17.

Farmers Market vouchers will be available from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 22.

Jessica Budzak from Wyoming Valley Alcohol and Drug Services will give an overview of drug use, including prescription drugs for seniors at 12:15 p.m. Friday, June 24.

Singer and entertainer, George Rittenhouse, will be in concert at the center from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 28.

Joan Krispin, LPN, admissions director from the Meadows, will check blood pressures from 12:30-1 p.m. Thursday, June 30. Bingo will follow at 1 p.m.

LUZERNE/WYOMING COUNTIES: Registration for the senior peer training classes is in progress.

Male and female seniors 55 and older who drive can contact Rhoda Tillman, program coordinator, at 570-836-3118 or [email protected] as soon as possible to become a senior peer counselor, or if you would like a volunteer to visit for an hour each week.

There is no cost to participate in this program.

LUZERNE/WYOMING: The summer luncheon of Luzerne/Wyoming PASR will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at Appletree Terrace, Dallas. Buffet with chicken, beef, fish and vegetables, followed by a dessert buffet. $20 payable to Luz/Wyo PASR. The July trip has been replaced by a trip to Williamsport for an all inclusive trip to Hiawatha by riverboat, plus dinner, candy factory and wine tasting.

PITTSTON: St Joseph’ Senior Social Club is taking reservations and $22 payment for the annual picnic, Saturday, June 18. There will be no meeting that month.

PLAINS: Plains Senior Citizens Project HEAD, Spirit of Philadelphia Riverboat Cruise and buffet luncheon Thursday, June 23, $75.
